The Jiazhi bedding market is the largest of its kind in China, and the surrounding towns are dense with weaving, printing, filling and sewing operations dedicated to home textiles.
The roots are deep. Nantong was one of the birthplaces of China's modern textile industry, growing out of the cotton country of Jiangsu and neighbouring Anhui, and generations of accumulated expertise in cotton spinning, weaving and finishing underpin today's factories. Fabrics, fillings, zips and hardware, and packaging are all locally available and bedding-specific. Cotton and high-thread-count product is a particular strength, alongside printed and children's bedding. Shanghai's port and airports are about two hours away. Shaoxing's Keqiao market supplies fabric variety and synthetics; Nantong turns textiles into finished bedding.

Chemical compliance is uneven; insist on OEKO-TEX or equivalent testing, particularly for children's bedding.
